8/4/18: PWF Showdown #144

Interview:
Bret Hart-Chris Hero altercation

(As the show began, Bret Hart came to the ring in street clothes, quickly
followed by PWF Owner Jim Cornette and a group of PWF officials. Cornette
attempted to intercept Hart, but Hart threatened Cornette and shoved him aside.
Hart grabbed a microphone from ringside as the crowd buzzed with excitement.)

Bret Hart: Jim, I don't know what you're doing out here as this has nothing to
do with you. If you want to get hurt, by all means, stay out here, but for your
own safety, I'd recommend you take a walk and leave me to my business. CHRIS
HERO! Get the fuck out here so I can finish this right here and now!

(Cornette continued to try and calm Hart down, but was ignored by Hart who was
fixated on the aisle way. The Kings of Wrestling: Chris Hero, Claudio
Castagnoli, Kevin Steen and Larry Sweeney came to the ring in a calm manner.
Hero told Castagnoli, Steen and Sweeney to stay out of the ring. Cornette
stayed in between Hart and Hero as Hero entered the ring. Hart grabbed Cornette
and knocked him out. Hero was handed a microphone by Sweeney.)

Chris Hero: Bret, I'm not out here to fight you, I'm out here to apologize to
you. I never intended to cost you the PWF World Heavyweight Championship; it
wasn't my great scheme and it never even crossed my mind. Bolin hit you with
his briefcase, intended for me, I can't change that and neither can you, but
you've got every right to a re-match and it makes more sense to go after Matt
Sydal than it does me.

Bret Hart: Hero, you're a lying scumbag even to this day. You brought your trio
of flunkies out here to protect you as you try and smooth things over. Hero,
there's no fixing this and this won't be over until I stomp on your fucking
throat and they cart you out of this company in a body bag.

Chris Hero: You know what, Bret, it wasn't my intention to fuck you over, but
right now, I wish that it was. Listening to you go on and on about being
screwed over has become tired and boring and I don't give a fuck. You got
screwed over, move and live to fight another day and if you think you're going
to kick my ass, I've got reason to believe that all you're actually going to do
is bitch and moan on that microphone, you fucking crybaby.

(Hart tossed the microphone aside and tackled Hero. Hart and Hero rolled around
the ring, trading whatever offense they can get in. Castagnoli and Steen pulled
Hero out of the ring and escorted him backstage as Hart tried to chase after,
before being stopped by PWF officials.)

Interview:
Bolin Services interview

("Woke Up This Morning" by A3 played as Bolin Services: PWF World Heavyweight
Champion Matt Sydal, PWF World Tag Team Champions Jimmy Rave & Joey Matthews,
Ken Doane and Kenny Bolin came to the ring to an onslaught of boos from the
crowd.)

Kenny Bolin: Ladies and gentlemen, all hail the new face of the PWF! The new
PWF World Heavyweight Champion and the star himself, MATT SYDAL!

(Sydal held the PWF World Heavyweight Championship belt high in the air as the
fans booed him.)

Kenny Bolin: Love this man or hate him, you have to understand that he has
staked his claim in PWF history and lore as the man who took away Bret Hart's
title. He was made into the star I told you he would in with a simple three
count. This man is pro-wrestling and there isn't a damn thing anyone can say
about that!

(Sydal jawed with fans in the front row as they booed him.)

Kenny Bolin: This man is already the greatest PWF World Heavyweight Champion of
all-time and there isn't even a man on the roster that is willing to challenge
him for his title. Not a man has stepped forward and requested a title match.
Bret Hart has for-gone his re-match clause in some ridiculous scrap with Chris
Hero, who had nothing to do with this title change, is in no affiliated with
Bolin Services and who has YET to defeat a single member of Bolin Services!

("Limb From Limb" by Motorhead played as Adam Pearce came to the ring to cheers
from the crowd.)

Kenny Bolin: Let's all take a step back here real quickly. Adam Pearce, what
business do you have out here in the same ring as the PWF World Heavyweight
Champion? You're not a champion whatsoever!

Adam Pearce: Mr. Star Maker, I'm out here for one reason and one reason alone:
the PWF World Heavyweight Championship. As I see it, I am due a title shot and
will take that title shot.

Kenny Bolin: Pearce, you beat Albright and all of a sudden, you think you're
the number one contender? You got your ass kicked by the star himself, Matt
Sydal at Champions Cup and you think you're owed something? Get the hell out of
the ring because the only thing you're owed is a visit to the emergency room,
courtesy of a briefcase with your name on it if you don't. You know what, no,
stop. I have an even better idea. You want to be made a star courtesy of Matt
Sydal, you can prove yourself to the champion first. Real simple, Pearce. Ken
Doane vs. Adam Pearce at PWF Heat of Battle. You beat Ken Doane, you can have a
shot at Matt Sydal, but not before you pin or submit Ken Doane. You've never
defeated a member of Bolin Services and we all know, you're not ever going to.

Adam Pearce: Ken Doane, I guess I'll see you at Heat of Battle and Matt Sydal,
I'll see you very shortly afterwards. Make sure you shine that belt up nice for
me.

(Pearce left the ring to cheers from the crowd as Bolin snickered at Pearce and
urged Sydal to ignore Pearce's statements.)

Can-Am Connection interview

("Break Down The Wall" by Jim Johnston played as the Can-Am Connection: PWF
Double Crown Champion Chris Jericho, Edge, Christian and Alex Shelley came to
the ring to boos from the crowd.)

Chris Jericho: The man of 1,004 holds, the highlight of the night, the
ayatollah of rock `n' rolla, one bad mamma jamma and now the PWF Double Crown
Champion! It was a forgone conclusion, was it not? Edge and I both agreed, it
made more sense following my victory to continue in the tradition of the PWF
Double Crown Championship and keep it as one belt. If for nothing else, it will
remind the likes of Mike Quackenbush that he wasn't man enough for one belt, no
matter two!

(Jericho posed for the crowd as they booed him.)

Chris Jericho: Thank you. Moving on...Edge and Christian have decided to
re-kindle one of the greatest tag teams in the history of wrestling and are
entering the PWF Tag League. As far as the Can-Am Connection goes, we're
stronger than ever and rest assured all of you Jerichoholics, we are the kings
of the world that is the PWF and will reign on our throne forever and ever.

(Jericho and the Can-Am Connection left the ring to boos from the crowd.)
