PWF GrandSlam 2018
July 28, 2018
Event #443

-During the PWF World Heavyweight Championship match between champion Bret Hart
and challenger Matt Sydal, Kenny Bolin stood at ringside in the corner of
Sydal. In the middle of match, Bolin motioned for Bolin Services to come to
ringside as Ken Doane, Jimmy Rave and Joey Matthews made their way to the ring.
Following Bolin Services were the Kings of Wrestling: Chris Hero, Claudio
Castagnoli, Kevin Steen and Larry Sweeney who stood in the corner of Hart.
Bolin approached Sweeney and began arguing with him. Bolin threatened Sweeney
with his loaded briefcase. Bolin Services and the Kings of Wrestling quickly
commenced brawling around ringside as Hart and Sydal wrestled in the ring.
Referee Nick Patrick tried to clear the ringside floor with help from officials
as Bolin climbed into the ring with his briefcase. Hero quickly slid into the
ring and stood in between Bolin and Hart. Bolin took a swing at Hero with the
briefcase as Hero ducked and Hart got drilled in the forehead. Hart went down
like a ton of bricks as Sydal hit the Shooting Sydal Press on Hart. Hero
charged at Bolin, but was pulled out of the ring by Doane. Jimmy Rave shoved
Patrick back into the ring as Bolin Services fended off the Kings of Wrestling
from entering the ring. Patrick counted the fall and awarded the match and PWF
World Heavwyeight Championship to Sydal. Bolin Services quickly collected
themselves and left the ring as Hero stood in angered rage at the outcome. Hart
slowly got to his feet and faced off with Hero. Hero tried to apologize to
Hart, but Hart tackled Hero and began pummeling him with fists as Castagnoli,
Steen and Sweeney pulled him off. Hart shoved all three men out of the way and
pointed and swore at Hero as he left the ring.

7/8/18: PWF Showdown #142

Interview:
Bret Hart interview

("Hart Attack" by Jim Johnston played as the PWF World Heavyweight Champion
Bret Hart came to the ring to huge cheers from the crowd.)

Bret Hart: I've already stated that I will grant the PWF Champions Cup winner
Matt Sydal a title shot and I will live up to that. However, it's save to
assume that in granting Sydal a title shot, I'm also opening myself up to be
screwed over by Kenny Bolin and the entire Bolin Services stable. I'm not out
here looking for help and I've never needed any help, but I will say this to
Bolin Services right now. Bolin, if you or any of your guys get involved in the
decision, I'm not simply going to invoke my re-match clause, I'm going to take
your briefcase and shove it up your ass, making you a star of a different kind.

(The fans cheered Hart as "Holding Out For a Hero" by Bonnie Tyler and the
Kings of Wrestling: Chris Hero, Claudio Castagnoli, Kevin Steen and Larry
Sweeney came to the ring to cheers from the crowd.)

Chris Hero: Bret, I know you don't want me out here and I know you don't want
any help, but let's be smart about this. We've been associates in the past and
we've been enemies in the past. I'm sure you recall the latter much more
vividly, but there's no taking away the former. Bret, I'm not out here asking
you to join the Kings of Wrestling again, I'm out here offering you some
protection from Bolin Services. If you go and defend the title against Matt
Sydal blindly, then it's not going to be your title for very long; it's going
to belong to Matt Sydal and Bolin Services. I guess if you can live with that,
then you're a stronger man than I, but I can't live with that. Bolin Services
have already staked their claim as the top stable in the PWF today. No member
of the Kings of Wrestling has defeated a Bolin Services member since they've
got here. Bret...Champ, you know all I have ever wanted is to hold that gold
and now I'm willing to help you defend that gold fairly, all I want in return
is a title match, nothing more and nothing less.

Bret Hart: Hero, it's true, we were partners at one point and I put an end to
that. Now, I don't need a partner and I don't want a partner. Matter of fact, I
can't look at the PWF roster today and find a man I'd even consider as my
partner. Chris, you've always been the guy who uses and abuses people as he
sees fit and right now is an important moment for both of us. Chris, I'm
willing to forgive and forget about the past, but if you fuck me like you've
done in the past to a long list of individuals, then I'm not looking for a
match with you, I'll be looking for a dirt plot for you.

Chris Hero: Champ, I have no reason to fuck you over. All I want is for Matt
Sydal to be treated just as any other challenger for the PWF World Heavyweight
Championship would be-without an advantage.

Bret Hart: Chris, then for now and until I'm finished with Sydal, you and your
boys can make sure that Matt Sydal is on the same playing field as the rest of
the locker room.

(Hart put his hand out for Hero, who shook his hand as the fans cheered. Hart
left the ring to cheers from the crowd as the Kings of Wrestling did the same,
following Hart's exit.)

Interview:
Brent Albright-Adam Pearce interview

("Live To Win" by Motorhead played as the Capital Regime: Brent Albright, Chris
Benoit, Austin Aries and Roderick Strong came to the ring to boos from the
crowd.)

Brent Albright: I don't know about anybody else in the PWF, but following PWF
Champions Cup, I'm feeling so very unsatisfied. Not only did I not walk out as
the Champions Cup winner, to the surprise of not only myself, but that of the
odd-markers, I didn't get my hands on Adam Pearce to finally end his fucking
life!

(The fans booed Albright.)

Brent Albright: It's simply a matter of time, everybody needs to understand. I
took his friend and his tag team partner and had him stab Pearce in the back.
Pearce himself dissolved his then-meaningless stable and all that awaits now is
me stepping on his throat and ending his stay as a member of the PWF and as a
member of the planet earth. Perace, I know you're listening to this and I know
you're preparing to hit the ring just to try and take a swing at me, but
standing around me is what we like to call protection. I'm not stupid like you,
I've got men watching my back to make sure people like you don't try and get
cute with people like me. Pearce, this feud between us does needs to come to an
end and I can think of no better way to end that by one of us saying: I quit!
That's right, Pearce, that's all it's going to take is for me to get you in the
center of the ring and squeeze the life out of your body as you yell those two
words: I quit.

("Limb From Limb" by Motorhead played as Adam Pearce came to the ring to cheers
from the crowd.)

Adam Pearce: Albright, shut your fucking mouth for once in your pathetic life.
If you want a piece of me, all you had to do was ask. I'm standing right here
in front of you by myself, as you stand there flanked by three other men.
You're a fucking turn-coat fucking coward who doesn't deserve the right to step
in this ring. Albright, you want to make me say I quit, you better come up with
something pretty damn good, because it's going to take more than an armbar or a
leglock. You'd better bring a handgun with you and blow my fucking brains out,
because there isn't a snowball's chance in hell, you'll hear me speak those
words you twitch.

Brent Albright: Pearce, for your own safety, I'd recommend you not give me any
ideas.

Adam Pearce: Albright, nothing is going to give me more pleasure than to rip
your heart of out chest and show it to you as you scream and quit like you
should have before you ever got involved with me. I'll see you at the show,
motherfucker.

(Pearce tossed the microphone aside and left the ring to cheers from the crowd
as Albright collected his men and left the ring, following Pearce's exit.)

7/7/18: PWF Showdown #141

Interview:
Bolin Services interview

("Woke Up This Morning" by A3 played as Bolin Services: Matt Sydal, Ken Doane,
PWF Tag Team Champions Jimmy Rave & Joey Matthews and Kenny Bolin came to the
ring to boos from the crowd.)

Kenny Bolin: Let's the set the mood for the future of the PWF right here and
now. PWF Champions Cup 2018. An underdog enters the tournament and goes through
the best of the best to walk out the winner. Matt Sydal has undergone the star
treatment at Champions Cup and has come out as a star!

(The fans booed Bolin.)

Kenny Bolin: You can boo all you want, but all of you people are here tonight
because of Matt Sydal and that is the truth! The star himself is standing right
here and the star is prepared to claim his prize. That prize being the PWF
World Heavyweight Championship. Bret "Hitman" Hart, I'm talking to you. Bret,
you are without a doubt the greatest competitor in the history of the PWF, but
that was before Matt Sydal was given his opportunity. Matt Sydal wants the PWF
World Heavyweight Championship and Matt Sydal will own the PWF World
Heavyweight Championship.

("Hart Attack" by Jim Johnston played as PWF World Heavyweight Champion Bret
Hart came to the ring to huge cheers from the crowd.)

Kenny Bolin: Bret, it's for the best that we do this the easy way. For you to
come out here and hand over your title to Matt Sydal is the noble thing to do.

(Hart snatched the microphone from Bolin.)

Bret Hart: Kenny Bolin, I'm not sure who you think you are, but you're not
going to walk in here and tell me, of all people, how things work. Matt Sydal
won the PWF Champions Cup, I'm not taking anything away from him. In the past,
the Champions Cup winner has received a shot at the PWF World Heavyweight
Championship; it's not part of the contract, it's simply been a tradition that
I intend upon upholding. But, if you think I'm going to hand over my life to
Matt Sydal, then you're stupider than you look. If Sydal wants to be the star
that you claim he is, he can wrestle me and pin my shoulders to the mat...and
if he can't, then he's not going to wear the PWF World Heavyweight
Championship.

(The fans cheered Hart as "Holding Out For a Hero" by Bonnie Tyler played and
the Kings of Wrestling: Chris Hero, Claudio Castagnoli, Kevin Steen and Larry
Sweeney came to the ring to cheers from the crowd.)

Kenny Bolin: Isn't this just terrific. Now we're going to listen to the
nonsense of Chris Hero, courtesy of Larry Sweeney. Let's hear it Sweet `n Sour,
how did Chris Hero get screwed over this time?

Larry Sweeney: Bolin, shut your mouth, ya bum! The entire locker room saw your
fat ass single-handedly win the PWF Champions Cup for Matt Sydal via a loaded
briefcase to the face of Chris Hero. Bolin, you have no respect for the PWF,
the Championship or even yourself. If you think Matt Sydal is ever going to
become the PWF World Heavyweight Champion as long as the Kings of Wrestling are
around, then you're going to be waiting an awfully long time.

Chris Hero: Sydal, you've proven yourself to be nothing more than a coward who
can't stand on his own two feet. Sydal, I owe you an ass kicking and that's
exactly what I'm going to do.

(Hero grabbed Sydal as Hart got in between them.)

Bret Hart: Hero, we've been down this road before and I'm not interested in
playing your little games. Hero, you didn't win the Champions Cup and you have
no business even being out here. Matt Sydal pinned your shoulders to the
mat...again and is the number one contender, not you. Hero, we have absolutely
nothing to discuss and sometimes I wonder if we ever did. You want a title
shot, go back in the ring and earn one.

(Hero confronted Hart and squared off with him as Bolin Services jumped Hart
and the Kings of Wrestling. Bolin nailed Sweeney across the face with his
briefcase as Sydal, Doane, Rave and Matthews beat down Hart, Hero, Castagnoli
and Steen.)

Kenny Bolin: It's always nice watching two assholes get their asses handed to
them. Bret, you're wrong; and Hero will always have something to talk about and
that is how you two were made into stars by getting your asses kicked by Bolin
Services!

(Bolin led his stable out of the ring to huge boos from the crowd. Hero slowly
got to his feet and helped Hart up. Hart immediately shoved Hero backwards;
Hero backed off as Hart picked up his title belt and left the ring.)

Interview:
Can-Am Connection interview

("Break Down the Wall" by Jim Johnston played as the Can-Am Connection: Chris
Jericho (with the PWF Intercontinental Championship belt), Edge (with the PWF
North American Championship belt), Christian and Alex Shelley came to the ring
to boos from the crowd.)

Chris Jericho: As a champion, you always like to know who your challenger is
going to be. Earlier today, I was informed that based on Mike Quackenbush and
Nigel McGuinness pinning Edge and I at PWF Champions Cup, that we're going to
have ourselves a four corners ladder match for the PWF Double Crown
Championship that according to the PWF office, Mike Quackenbush will be
defending. Funny, because the last time I checked, Edge and I were in
possession of the belts that comprise the PWF Double Crown Championship, not
Mike Quackenbush.

Edge: Chris, you're looking at this from the wrong point of view. Sure,
Quackenbush is the champion, technically, but now when one of us beats him,
there will be no pissing and moaning from Quackenbush, because the title belts
will legally belong to us; not Mike Quackenbush and certainly not Nigel
McGuinness. And after one of us climbs those rungs and brings both belts, we
can simply break the championship apart and stake our claim as champions, that
we already know we are!

(The Can-Am Connection left the ring to boos from the crowd.)

Interview:
Chris Hero interview

("Holding out for a Hero" by Bonnie Tyler played as the Kings of Wrestling:
Chris Hero, Claudio Castagnoli, Kevin Steen and Larry Sweeney came to the ring
a mixed reaction of more cheers than boos.)

Larry Sweeney: There's a way to be cunning and manipulative and make it work,
but running around and hitting people with a loaded briefcase is hardly a wise
maneuver for a man who just joined this company. Kenny Bolin, "Mr. Star Maker,"
I'm talking to you! To defeat Chris Hero in such a manner is an insult to not
just Chris, but to the Kings of Wrestling as a whole. Bolin, you've fired the
first salvo and now it's up to the Kings to fire the last.

(Sweeney handed the microphone to Hero.)

Chris Hero: Listening to Kenny Bolin tell everybody last month that Matt Sydal
would be walking out of PWF Champions Cup as a star, struck me today. I was
pinned by Sydal in the center of the ring. Circumstances aside, Matt Sydal
defeated the king of the PWF. PWF Champions Cup is a different story. In the
ten year history of the Champions Cup, I have never walked out victorious. I
have never been the last man standing at the end of the event. I've done
everything else there is to do in the PWF; World Champion, Tag Team Champion,
Tag League Champion and Quadrathlon Survivor Champion. My mission is clear and
come PWF Champions Cup, the rest of the PWF will be witness to the iconic
figure that is Chris Hero!

(The fans cheered Hero as "Woke Up This Morning" by A3 played. Bolin Services:
Matt Sydal, Ken Doane, PWF World Tag Team Champions Jimmy Rave & Joey Matthews
and Kenny Bolin walked down the aisle and stood in front of the ring.)

Kenny Bolin: Larry Sweeney, to insult or besmirch me in such a manner is
unnecessary and un-called for. Sweeney, nobody knows better than you what it is
to interfere in a match in the PWF. You also seem to be forgetting that it's
not just Chris Hero that Matt Sydal has defeated. Matt Sydal has pinned Chris
Hero, Claudio Castagnoli and Kevin Steen. As a matter of fact, no member of the
Kings of Wrestling has beaten a single member of Bolin Services and everybody
knows that they're not going to. Chris Hero, if you think you're going to
stroll into Champions Cup and walk out with another item to your resume, then
you're out of your mind. I've already told all of you people, I am the Star
Maker Kenny Bolin and come PWF Champions Cup, Matt Sydal will be the star that
the PWF needs!

Can-Am Connection interview

("Break Down The Wall" by Jim Johnston played as the Can-Am Connection: Chris
Jericho (with the PWF Intercontinental Championship belt), Edge (with PWF North
American Heavyweight Championship belt), Christian and Alex Shelley came to the
ring to boos from the crowd.)

Chris Jericho: To be a champion is nothing short of incredible and as this
title hung over my shoulder indicates, I am a champion!

Edge: I concur with the Intercontinental Champion. Winning a title is one of
the hardest tasks to complete in any sport whatsoever. It just so happens, for
Chris and I, it was actually quite easy.

Chris Jericho: Now, I'm sure there are some people, perhaps Mike Quackenbush,
who is standing backstage watching this monitor and is enraged about the events
that took place at WrestleWar. To Mike Quackenbush, all I can really say is:
you win some, you lose some and you're still a robotic wannabe of yours truly.

Edge: Quackenbush, as I see it, you're nothing, but a coward. We've taken what
you've worked your life for and you let it go without a fight; pretty hacky,
Mike. I never bought you as a champion anyway. Matter of fact, a guy with the
name Quackenbush, hardly exudes that championship caliber star the PWF needs.
Mike, since you seem to have no balls and refuse to come on down here and get
your ass handed to you, I guess Chris and I will go along defending our titles
as we have in the past.

(Edge dropped the microphone as Quackenbush and Nigel McGuinness quickly hit
the ring and laid out Jericho and Edge. Christian and Shelley pulled
Quackenbush and McGuinness off of Jericho and Edge, but were met with stereo
dropkicks to the chin. Jericho and Edge grabbed the title belts and quickly
left the ring as Quackenbush and McGuinness stared them down from the ring.)

Interview:
Adam Pearce disbands the Greatest Stable Period

("Limb From Limb" by Motorhead played as the Greatest Stable Period: Adam
Pearce, James Gibson and BJ Whitmer came to the ring to cheers from the crowd.)

Adam Pearce: Stabbed in the back by one of my own. I guess that figures. The
best way to get ahead in the PWF is to do exactly what Roderick Strong did to
me at WrestleWar. Strong, we were tag team partners and then stable mates. You
tossed it all away and sided with Brent Albright. Gibson and Whitmer, this no
longer is the greatest stable period. There is no more Greatest Stable Period.
This is something that I have to do myself with Albright and company. Besides,
if I can't trust Roderick Strong of all people, I can't trust anybody else
either.

(Gibson and Whitmer left the ring, dissolving the Greatest Stable Period.)

Adam Pearce: You happy, Albright? It's me against your Capital Regime now.
There's nobody standing behind me to pull the shit you've pulled in your stay
here in the PWF. Albright, sooner or later, this is going to come to a head and
this is going to end. I only hope you can live with yourself when despite all
of your cunning and scheming, I put an end to your pipedream of being the PWF
World Heavyweight Champion.

(Pearce left the ring to cheers from the crowd.)

("Woke Up This Morning" by A3 played as Bolin Services: Kenny Bolin (briefcase
in hand), Matt Sydal, Ken Doane and the PWF World Tag Team Champions Jimmy Rave
& Joey Matthews came to the ring to boos from the crowd.)

Kenny Bolin: Star Maker Bolin is in the house and has found himself some men
who want to be stars in this wretched excuse for a wrestling company!

(The fans booed Bolin.)

Kenny Bolin: That's about right. Booing a man with more brains than the whole
bunch of you put together. I'd recommend you fools sitting on your hands look
up in the ring and take note of the newest stable to hit the PWF: Bolin
Services! It's taken me far too long to come to the PWF, but that's going to
work to my advantage. I'm in the PWF now and with me are the four men you see
in this ring...He is easily the most underrated young star in the PWF past or
present and he is the man with whom I have selected to lead Bolin Services in
singles action: Matt Sydal!

(Sydal posed as the fans booed him.)

Kenny Bolin: Athletic, agile and technically sound. This man was tossed aside,
despite being a former PWF Intercontinental Champion: Ken Doane!

(Doane posed for the crowd as they booed him.)

Kenny Bolin: These two men need no introduction. They are the current PWF World
Tag Team Champions and the hottest new team in the PWF today, Jimmy Rave and
Joey Matthews!

(Rave and Matthews held their title belts in the air as the fans booed them.)

Kenny Bolin: I'm the Star Maker Kenny Bolin and everybody associated with the
PWF better get used to doing things my way or they'll be sent packing with an
imprint of my briefcase across their head! To conclude this fun, it's time for
me to set the wheels in motion for the star making process. PWF Champions Cup
is approaching and at this year's event, Matt Sydal will be entering and I can
guarantee all of you, Matt Sydal is walking out of there as a star!

Event #427

-During the Capital Regime (Brent Albright & Austin Aries) vs. Greatest Stable Period (Adam Pearce & Roderick Strong), Albright worked over Pearce with a figure-four leglock. Pearce reversed the hold and had it applied to Albright as Aries climbed into the ring only to be intercepted by Strong. Strong squared off with Aries and quickly dropkicked Pearce in the face. Strong laid into Pearce with kicks to the face. Strong executed a half-nelson backbreaker on Pearce as Albright covered Pearce for the victory. Strong left the ring with Albright and Aries, leaving the Greatest Stable Period and joining the Capital Regime.

-Following the Mask vs. Mask match between Tiger Mask IV and Black Tiger IV, based on pre-match stipulations, Black Tiger IV un-masked and revealed himself as Rocky Romero.

-During the PWF World Tag Team Championship match between champions Jimmy Rave & Joey Matthews and challengers Capital Regime (Chris Benoit & Dean Malenko), Malenko executed a German suplex on Rave and climbed the top rope. Matt Sydal and Ken Doane returned to the PWF and quickly hit the ring and pulled Benoit off the apron and proceeded to pummel him on the ringside floor. Referee Nick Patrick attempted to pull Sydal and Doane off of Malenko as Kenny Bolin came to ringside with a steel briefcase. Bolin cracked Malenko over the head with the briefcase. Malenko fell into the ring where he was met with a dropkick to the face from Rave. Rave hit a springboard moonsault on Malenko and covered him as Sydal and Doane left Benoit on the floor and stood with Bolin. Patrick saw the cover and counted the fall, awarding the match to Rave & Matthews. Rave, Matthews, Sydal and Doane left the ring with Bolin.

-Following the PWF Double Crown Championship match between champion Mike Quackenbush and challenger Nigel McGuinness, Can-Am Connection members Chris Jericho and Edge hit the ring and laid out Quackenbush as McGuinness stood and watched. Jericho and Edge executed the con-chair-to on Quackenbush and proceeded to face off with McGuinness. Jericho stuck his hand out for McGuinness. McGuinness looked at Jericho and then at the crowd. Edge proceeded to lay McGuinness out with a chair shot to the head as Jericho shook McGuinness’ now immobile hand. Jericho picked up Quackenbush’s PWF Intercontinental Championship belt as Edge picked up Quackenbush’s PWF North American Championship belt. Jericho and Edge left with a belt each.

-During the event, Jack Evans returned to the PWF.

-Following the event, Eddie Guerrero and Dean Malenko left the PWF.

Adam Pearce interview

("Limb From Limb" by Motorhead played as Adam Pearce came to the ring to cheers
from the crowd.)

Adam Pearce: Brent Albright, I told you and you didn't listen. At Battle Lines,
you were handed your ass by yours truly and nothing you can do will ever change
that. It's just a simple matter of the better man taking out the weaker man.
Pinning your shoulders isn't just a victory for me. It's a victory for the
Greatest Stable Period and to a degree; it's a victory for every man you've
ever pulled your scumbag antics on. Albright, next for you and me isn't really
up to me, now is it? I know what you're going to try and do. You're going to
try to lure me into your weave of bullshit and play it off like we don't have
any issues with each other. Albright, next for me is staking my claim as the
best wrestler in the PWF today and the only way to do that is by winning the
PWF World Heavyweight Championship.

(The fans cheered Pearce's announcement as "Live To Win" by Motorhead played
and Brent Albright came to the ring to boos from the crowd.)

Brent Albright: Pearce, I'm out here to do any of the things you claimed. I'm
out here to kick your fucking ass.

Interview:
Bret Hart interview

("Hart Attack" by Jim Johnston played as PWF World Heavyweight Champion Bret
Hart came to the ring to huge cheers from the crowd.)

Bret Hart: I am the PWF World Heavyweight Champion and it is my responsibility
to stand up for this company when someone tries to tear it down. In this case,
it's Paul Heyman and ECW for the second time. First time they tried this, they
were disposed of by PWF members. I figured that would have been the end of it,
but obviously I was wrong. If Paul Heyman wants to run his own company and do
things his way, I say go right ahead. However, if Heyman thinks for one second
he's going to come after the PWF and try to put this company out of business,
he's going another thing coming. Heyman, ECW, I say to you, good riddance!

(The fans cheered.)

Bret Hart: The PWF isn't about what ECW is about. ECW is about hardcore
wrestling. It's about tearing someone else down to get to the top. The PWF is
about what I profess, being the best there is, the best there was and the best
there ever will be. Nobody is tearing down the PWF. We're not going to all of a
sudden go into the doldrums and forget why we're here. The PWF will go on, with
ECW doing its own business and nothing is going to change that.

("Holding Out For a Hero" by Bonnie Tyler played as the Kings of Wrestling:
Chris Hero, Claudio Castagnoli, Kevin Steen and Larry Sweeney came to the ring
to boos from the crowd.)

Larry Sweeney: Hitman! Why don't you put a lid on it for once in your life! The
PWF is about one thing and one thing only: Chris Hero!

(Hero did a somersault roll and landed on his feet and put his arms in the air
as the fans booed him.)

Larry Sweeney: Hart! You seme to feel that you're the spokesman for the PWF,
but in reality all you're here to do is hold onto the PWF World Heavyweight
Championship belt until Chris Hero takes it from you, ya bum!

(Hart squared off with Hero.)

Larry Sweeney: Hitman! Chris Hero is ready to take the belt from you...so hand
it over!

(Hart took the belt off his waist and put it over his shoulder.)

Larry Sweeney: Hitman! You want trouble, you've got it!

(Steen and Castagnoli jumped Hart and began stomping on him Sweeney joined in with a cheap shot to the face. Hero executed the Hero Stomp on Hart and laid the PWF World Heavyweight Championship belt over Hart's chest. The Kings of Wrestling left the ring to boos from the crowd.)

Interview:
Extreme Championship Wrestling returns

(Following the PWF World Heavyweight Championship match between champion Bret
Hart and challenger Ken Kennedy, Paul Heyman stepped into the ring and stood
with Kennedy.)

Paul Heyman: Hitman, congratulations, you've defeated Ken Kennedy and have made
my decision for me. Bret, you are without a doubt the greatest World Champion
the PWF has ever seen and for that, I commend you. However, I also must inform
you that it disgusts me and a large group of men who are tired of watching you
run around with that title belt. I've tried this once before, but previously, I
was acting on strictly emotion. This time, it's all about an even playing
field. Bret, you know at the end of the day you have to do what you feel is
right and I've never felt more right in my life. Ladies and gentlemen, as of
right now, I no longer work for the PWF. As of right now, I work for ECW.

(The crowd buzzed with excitement.)

Paul Heyman: The PWF and I have never been right for each other and never will
be. Jim Cornette, this is my way notice and if you like, I'll sign it in blood
across your fucking face! The PWF can go fuck themselves for all I care,
because my tribe of warriors aren't working here anymore. Any man who thinks
he's got what it takes to compete in ECW, you can follow me out the door of the
PWF and come work for me.

(PWF Owner Jim Cornette came to the ring.)

Paul Heyman: Jim, last time I went this way, it was simply about a fight
between your guys and my guys. This time, there's not going to be any great war
spanning months and months. This time, I'm packing up and going back to the
place I know best: the cold, hard canvas of the ECW ring. Jim, you and I both
know some of your guys are going to tell me to go fuck myself, but you and I
also know, there are some who are going to follow my lead. Jim, next time I see
you will be through a television screen and vice-versa, because ECW lives and
it's not inside the PWF.

(Heyman quickly broke his cell phone over the head of Cornette and left the
ring as Kennedy followed him out of the arena.)
